Bradbury Family :: Family Cane Field Fun

I had such a fun afternoon playing in the cane fields with the gorgeous Bradbury family.

Our afternoon session was met with rumbles of thunder, a big black dark cloud and a few spots of rain but we were so lucky! The little storm cell made its way around us and we were able to get on with our session. How gorgeous is baby Grace and her big brother Matty (and Mum and Dad of course)? I got lots of beautiful smiles and they were SO well behaved.

This gorgeous family were lucky enough to receive a Sunshine Photography gift certificate. And YUP…you all know what I’m going to say next! It’s the gift that keeps giving! It truly is the gift that lasts for ever 🙂

With Christmas around the corner (and if you are stuck for ideas), you really should consider a gift certificate with your local photographer. I couldn’t think of a better gift to give!

That Jinky Art Workshop!

If you have never heard of Barb Uil or ‘Jinky Art’ you MUST MUST do yourself a favour and head over to Jinky Art and have a very very long browse through the wonderful images that your eyes will love and thank you for!

I was so fortunate to be able to spend 3 days with Barb, her family and her wonderful team earlier this year for a workshop she held in the rolling green hills of Maleny. My previous workshops I’d attended were mainly from a business point of view but this time around I wanted to enrol as a treat to myself; you know, to get those creative juices flowing and to find inspiration and touch on a more creative side to my photography.

And yes,  it did just that 🙂 After 3 days of giving my eyes, my ears and my heart to Barb; not only did I walk away with a belly full of inspiration, but also some lovely friendships that were made over the course of the workshop.  Anyone who knows me well, knows I can be a bit of a rascal when I want to be (after all, I did say this was a treat for myself and sometimes my professional hat was not always on!) and there were many many laughs that took place. You remember back in the good old school days when you know you should be being good but suddenly a giggling fit throws itself upon you?  And you’re trying your damn hardest to  hold in hysterical laughter by looking at your feet and trying not to make any eye contact with any other naughty students (not to mention any names… Sonnie and Alicia)? Yep, that’s the kind of fun I had (so immature, but oh so fun!!).

And the models! The models!!! Every.single.one = GORGEOUS! We were soooo spoilt with all our lovely families that came to model for us. Throw in some little lambs, a horse, pink fairy floss, tea parties and a magical location with the most divine sunsets ever… YUP, photographers heaven I tell you!

What a wonderful 3 days that I still smile about when I think it about it 🙂 A big thank you to Barb and your team and a big shout out to all the lovely ladies who also attended the workshop and who I am now lucky enough to call friends 🙂 x

Ok, enough rambling. Here’s a little peek of what we got up to while attending. Enjoy and thanks for reading xo

Baby Caoimhe | Lifestyle Session at Home

I had the pleasure of capturing this lifestyle session at home for this gorgeous family. Meet beautiful baby Caoimhe, Mum, Dad and her very proud big brother. This little family that was once 3 is now 4.

This lucky family was gifted a Sunshine Photography gift voucher and decided to upgrade to a newborn session. With family visiting from overseas, it was a perfect opportunity to capture some memories.

I met this gorgeous family in their home for a lifestyle session. Newborns are usually best photographed under 14 days and for those babies that are a little bit older I usually suggest a lifestyle newborn session. These are photographed in your own home, with a ‘fly on the wall’ approach. I also offer these as an option if you prefer this approach rather than more traditional ‘posed’ newborn photography.

I always bring a sneaky prop or two in case my babies decide to fall in a deep sleep so we can attempt those typical newborn shots as well.

Thank you Corbett family for making me feel so welcome in your home. Baby Caoimhe is just gorgeous 🙂 x

Tony & Allison :: Renewal Of Vows Ceremony

I loved every minute of being involved in this gorgeous Renewal of Vows Ceremony between Tony & Alison. After being married for 11 years, Tony & Alison decided to refresh their vows in a private ceremony with only eachother on a secluded sandbank only accessible by boat along the gorgeous Noosa River.

I feel so privileged to have been so lucky to witness such a gorgeous ceremony. Such an intimate private and moving ceremony. Thank you Tony & Alison for sharing such a private moment with you both.

As usual the gorgeous Celebrant of Noosa – Natalie Banner “From This Moment Ceremonies” did a wonderful job conducting the ceremony. I just love working alongside this lovely lady 🙂
