Koh Samui Thailand Destination Wedding – Dale & Jo

What an amazing trip down memory lane. Almost a year on and it only feels like yesterday we were on the shores of Koh Samui, Thailand for this amazing destination wedding for Dale & Jo.

I had the amazing honour of traveling to Thailand and spend a week with Dale, Jo and their closest friends and family. It was an amazing experience and I had such a great time in between my photographer duties eating the beautiful food, swimming in waterfalls, shopping at the markets, massages by the pool and just having the experience of exploring a new land.

My first call of duty was an amazing day out on a boat trip the couple had organised for friends and family a few days before their wedding day. It was a day of snorkelling, swimming, island hopping, eating, drinking along with many belly laughs (see for yourself in the blog link below).

Dale & Jo – Koh Samui Boat Trip

Their wedding day was met with a beautiful sunny day and they exchanged vows overlooking the beautiful blue waters in the Gulf of Thailand in a heartfelt relaxed ceremony with loved ones looking on.

When I first found out I was booked for a destination wedding in Thailand the first images that came to mind was newlyweds enjoying each other’s company under the prongs of tropical coconut trees on the beach; but then Koh Sumui took me under her spell; the more I walked the streets the more I felt the urge to capture the authenticity of what Koh Samui had to offer.

And how blessed I was to be able to photograph such a down to earth couple like Dale & Jo who pretty much let me do as I pleased. Amazing wedding followed by an amazing reception (can I just say it’s probably the first time in my whole life I actually couldn’t drink another Cosmo, seriously cocktails galore over there!!!!).

Dale & Jo, thank you for allowing me the privilege of capturing this amazing day for you. And a HUGE happy one year anniversary coming up from me. I love you guys! B x

PS. If anyone is heading overseas for their wedding and looking for a photographer – HOLLA!!!!!! #specialpriceforyou 😉

Jess & James: Married, Noosa Waterfront Restaurant

James and Jess tied the knot at Noosa Waterfront Restaurant & Bar back in April (oh my has it really taken me THAT long to blog this beautiful wedding?? How awfully slack of me!) in a beautiful and moving ceremony.

They were very lucky with the weather… until it was time for photos!!! Haha! We did get a little drenched in a downpour that came from no-where but were rewarded with gorgeous stormy skies afterwards. Jess and James took it in their stride and the rain made for a bit of fun and excitment to add to their wonderful day (we may or may not have hung out in the public toilets until it passed, teehee).

Thank you both to Jess & James for having me along for your beautiful wedding day. I had such a great time with you and your loved ones! You are both such heartwarming and beautiful people. Wishing you both all the best for your future as husband and wife 🙂 x

Adam & Jess :: Trash the Dress

What a great excuse for a Trash the Dress! Adam & Jess celebrated their one year wedding anniversary in March and decided that a ‘Trash the Dress’ session was a fun way to mark their anniversary (yes it’s taken me that long to blog this session, whoops!).

And fun it most certainly was! The short hike, getting eaten alive by mozzies, swimming in cold rock pools and the occasional ‘almost stack’ on the odd slippery rock that had disguised itself as safe to walk on was totally worth it!

Loved loved loved it! These guys were up for pretty much anything and such a lovely and fun couple. Thank you for a fun afternoon Adam & Jess, I hope you both treasure these fun memories for years to come 🙂

Shane and Natalie :: Alexandra Headland Wedding

What a gorgeous day for the beautiful Alexandra Headland Wedding of Shane and Natalie!

I totally take my hat off to my beautiful bride… minutes after having her dress on, her zip failed and broke! We could literally see her groom and guests all waiting for her arrival from our room.  Not once did she panic, stress or break a sweat. She totally rocked the situation and thanks to some very handy bridesmaids, the dress was fixed (future brides, always have an emergency kit on hand. It will literally ‘save the day’). And Shane, you did just as awesome… standing in a suit in the hot sun while waiting for your bride to arrive!

Eventually these two tied the knot and the rest of the afternoon was perfect in every way.

Shane and Natalie, you both are both so very lovely! I wish you both all the happiness for your future together 🙂 x

Shayne & Mel :: Kenilworth Homestead Wedding

I loved everything about Shane & Mel’s gorgeous rustic wedding set in the beautiful hills of Kenilworth at Kenilworth Homestead. Their day was perfect in every single way.

A beautiful reception followed an emotional and heart-touching ceremony. These newlyweds share a love that’s just so beautiful and certainly is to be admired.

Thank you for sharing your day with me Shane & Mel. I had a great time with you both 🙂

Thank you to Mandii from Xanthe Photography for second shooting for me 🙂 x
